In this video from Catherine, she walks you from start to finish through how to make a cute popsicle character with blended watercolors and a lettering design at the top.
First, sketch out your character and then darken the lines with an ink pen. It doesn’t have to be a popsicle, so feel free to experiment!
Choose your colors. She’s using a selection of our watercolor brush pens.
Paint your main color blocks.
Use your water blending brush to blend the colors together.
With your water brush, sketch an outline for the lettering or phrase you want.
Paint in your letters, just like your character.
Grab your water brush again, and blend your letters as needed.
